At the railway we have two Cafe's located at either end of the railway.
Station Cafe
Situated on the platform at Fairbourne between the Museum and Rowen centre is the Station Cafe. This coffee shop style cafe is open every day that trains are running, offering a selection of cold drinks, speciality coffees and teas along with a wide variety of delicious cakes. Throughout the day the cafe offers a range of sandwiches, baguettes and panini’s with various fillings to eat in or taken away. The cafe also offers a selection of Wines, Ciders and Beers including the locally sourced award winning Purple Moose Brewery beers. Why not spend time before or after your train enjoying a speciality coffee watching some of the latest railway related DVD releases on the flat screen TV or viewing the Rowen centre through the large viewing window.
Harbour View Cafe
At the terminus of the railway at Barmouth Ferry is Harbour View Cafe; situated in this prime location overlooking Barmouth Bridge, Barmouth Harbour and the Mawddach estuary. Harbour View is open during the purple and green timetables and is a short walk from the golden sandy beach and the ferries that cross to Barmouth.
Harbour View offers a selection of cold drinks, speciality coffees and teas along with a wide variety of delicious cakes and ice creams. The cafe presents a more comprehensive menu than the station cafe and this includes sandwiches, baguettes, panini’s and jacket potatos with a wide selection of tasty fillings – don't forget to check the days specials board when you visit! Harbour View is also licensed and stocks a range Wines, Ciders and Beers including the locally sourced and award winning Purple Moose Brewery Beers. A great place to take a break and enjoy the wonderful scenery, view the wildlife or simply watch the trains come and go.
